Hardrock Canyon Apartments
The split between five-star and one-star reviews reflects two very different experiences. On the positive side, guests consistently praise the leasing staff (Peyton, Aubrey, Ashley, Izzy) for being genuinely helpful during tours and move-in, and they appreciate the landscaping, business center, pools, and pet park. The location near the Domain and north Austin shopping is a real draw. The downside is serious. Multiple residents report months-long delays to fix dangerous problems: a dryer vent painted shut during building maintenance, creating a fire hazard that went unaddressed for four months; mold in AC systems and kitchen cabinets that a resident's own testing showed to be toxic; and broken stairs that caused injury. Maintenance either didn't show up or looked without actually troubleshooting. One resident was pressured to sign an NDA to break her lease after the mold made her apartment uninhabitable. Requests via the portal often went unanswered.
